The Salvation Army Kroc Center in South Bend, IN is hiring a Welcome Desk Associate. This part-time role (19 hours/week) begins at $12.00 per hour and involves assisting guests, processing POS transactions, and promoting memberships.

Available Shift: 5:15 AM - 10:00 AM

Job Objective: As the Welcome Desk Associate, you will be responsible for creating exceptional customer service experiences. Primary responsibilities include selling and/or verifying membership program registrations as well as providing facility information, answering, and routing all incoming phone calls, ensuring that the Mission of The Salvation Army is effectively carried out.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Background Checks: Position requires a background check to be completed, and all background check results will be reviewed.
Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in customer service and cash handling related industries.
Certifications: Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain The Salvation Army Driver’s qualification standard; must complete Safe From Harm training and CPR Certification within the first 30 days of employment.

Supervisory Responsibility: None
Physical Requirements: Good speaking, hearing and vision ability, and excellent manual dexterity; lifting, pulling and pushing of materials up to 25 pounds; may require bending, squatting, walking, and standing for extended periods.
Working Conditions: Work is performed in an office environment; may require some weekend and evening work.
