Job summary

The Salvation Army North & Central Illinois Division is seeking a Kroc Attendant at the St. Joseph County Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in South Bend. This position involves cleaning exercise areas, facilitating programs, equipment check‑in/out, and assisting with youth activities.

Starting pay is $12.00 per hour for part‑time work (19 hours per week) with weekday and weekend shifts. Relevant safety training (Safe From Harm, CPR) must be completed within 30 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak, write, and understand English clearly for communication with leadership and patrons.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn electronic reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate equipment check‑in and check‑out procedures.
• Keep assigned area clean and follow departmental guidelines.
• Return equipment to proper locations and report breakdowns.
• Enforce safety guidelines consistently in the area.
• Assist with other tasks as assigned by leadership.
• Supervise safety and entertainment for children in Kids Watch area.
• Maintain readiness and cleanliness of the Kids Watch area and related areas.
• Keep daily observation logs and associated paperwork for the shift.
• Complete Safe From Harm and CPR training within 30 days.
