YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking a part-time Member Services Associate to provide friendly information and assist current and prospective members with memberships and programs at our Houston location.

The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, promoting YMCA values, enrolling new members, processing registrations, and supporting department operations to help retain members and maintain a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Certifications required within 30 days: CPR/AED and First Aid.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills.
• Ability to connect with people of diverse backgrounds.
• Previous customer service, sales or related experience.
• Basic knowledge of computers.

Responsibilities

• Promotes YMCA core values in all activities.
• Answers inquiries and provides information on YMCA membership and programs.
• Provides courteous customer service to members and guests in person and by phone.
• Builds relationships with members and helps them connect with others.
• Responds to and resolves member concerns.
• Enrolls new members and processes membership applications.
• Registers members and participants in classes and programs.
• Conducts tours and promotes memberships.
• Implements procedures for the Membership Department and ensures policy compliance.
• Reports suspicious behavior and policy violations.
• Follows abuse and incident reporting requirements.
• Meets timelines for time sheets in Kronos.
• Attends staff meetings and trainings.
• Other duties as assigned.
