Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking a part-time Membership Assistant to provide excellent customer service at our facility in Houston, TX. You will handle member inquiries, process memberships, and support program registrations while embodying Y values.

Responsibilities include greeting members, guiding tours, enrolling new members, and maintaining accurate time and attendance records. Must be 16+ with CPR/First Aid trained within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 16 years old.
• Certifications required within 30 days of hire: CPR/AED, and First Aid.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills.
• Ability to connect with people of diverse backgrounds.
• Previous customer service, sales or related experience.
• Basic knowledge of computers.

Responsibilities

• Promotes YMCA values and provides information on membership and programs.
• Answers inquiries and delivers prompt, courteous customer service.
• Builds relationships with members and helps them connect with the YMCA.
• Enrolls new members and processes membership applications.
• Registers members and participants in classes and programs.
• Sells memberships and conducts facility tours as needed.
• Ensures compliance with membership policies and procedures.
