Job summary

Advocate Medical Group (AMG) in Skokie, IL is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant/Patient Service Representative to support the care team with clinical and administrative tasks. This role requires a High School Diploma or GED and MA program completion, or 2 years of MA experience within the last 5 years.

Responsibilities include taking vitals, preparing patients for exams, assisting providers, administering vaccines as directed, and documenting care in the electronic health record.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, or 2 years MA experience in the last 5 years.
• Certifications in drug screening, alcohol testing or CAOHC/NISOH are a plus (may be obtained after hire).
• 1–2 years related customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs and medical histories.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Support care team to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
• Provide efficient, high-quality service to patients arriving for appointments or calling for information.
