Job summary

Advocate Medical Group (AMG) in McHenry, IL seeks a Medical Assistant to support the care team with vital clinical and administrative tasks. You will assist providers, collect patient information, and ensure patient safety and confidentiality while delivering compassionate care.

The role requires completion of a Medical Assistant program or 2 years of MA experience, with phlebotomy skills preferred and a 40-hour work week (Mon-Fri, 6:45am–6:00pm) plus one Saturday per month.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant program or 2 years of MA experience in last 5 years.
• Phlebotomy skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
