Job summary

Advocate Medical Group (AMG) in South Elgin, IL is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the care team in a busy ambulatory setting. You will welcome patients, record vital signs and histories, prepare for exams, and assist providers during procedures.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, medical assistant diploma or 2 years MA experience, or MA certification with 2 years' experience; phlebotomy skills are preferred. Schedule Monday–Friday 8am–5pm with occasional Saturday.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Must have a medical assistant diploma or 2 years of medical assistant experience or be a certified MA with 2 years of medical assistant experience, to qualify.
Phlebotomy skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
