Job summary

Advocate Medical Group (AMG) in Aurora, IL is hiring a part-time Medical Assistant to support the care team in an ambulatory setting. This 20-hour/week role requires MA credentials or 2 years of MA experience, with preference for phlebotomy skills. Schedule includes Tue/Thu 8 am–6 pm and one Saturday monthly 8 am–12 pm.

You will perform patient prep, vital signs, and help communicate test results and MyChart messages while upholding patient safety and confidentiality in a busy clinic.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have a medical assistant diploma or 2 years of medical assistant experience or be a certified MA with 2 years of medical assistant experience.
• Phlebotomy skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule: Tuesday and Thursday 8 am–6 pm.
• One Saturday per month 8 am–12 pm.
• Desk-based role communicating test results to patients and managing MyChart messages.
• Support providers, connect with patients, and ensure a seamless, compassionate experience.
• Welcome patients and support transitions into care; take and record vital signs.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist during procedures; administer meds/vaccines as directed.
• Perform lab tasks and document care in the EHR; collaborate with the care team.
