Job summary

SpartanNash in Allendale, Michigan is seeking a part-time Meat Associate to support the fresh meat department. You will prepare, package, label, and merchandise meat products, while ensuring inventory accuracy and meeting guest service guidelines.

This role requires a High School diploma or GED, basic math, and attention to detail. You will lift up to 30-50 pounds, stand for long periods, and collaborate with teammates to deliver quality products and a safe shopping experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (GED) preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce meat products to Production Planner.
• Package and label meat products per program plan.
• Merchandise meat products per flight plan and merchandising expectations.
• Stock backroom with meat products – rotating and dating cases/buckets.
• Notify the Meat Manager if products and supplies need to be ordered.
• Work as a team with other departments and stores to achieve growth in SpartanNash Retail stores.
• Follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines and Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations.
• Follow Guest Experience Guidelines.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience need.
