Job summary

SpartanNash, a family of companies serving Michigan communities, is seeking a part-time meat associate at Family Fare in Delton. The role involves preparing and packaging meat products, labeling per plan, merchandising, stocking backroom cases, and coordinating with the Meat Manager to ensure timely orders.

You’ll join a team focused on guest experience while following safety and food safety guidelines. The position requires a High School Diploma or GED (preferred), about one year of retail

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• One year retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and Produce Meat Products to Production Planner.
• Package and Label Meat Products per program plan.
• Merchandise Meat Products per Flight plan/Merchandising Expectations.
• Stock Backroom with Meat Products – Rotating and Dating Cases/Buckets.
• Notify the Meat Manager if products and supplies need to be ordered.
• Work as a team with other departments and Stores to achieve growth in SpartanNash Retail stores.
• Understand basic functions of adding, subtracting, multiplying and division.
• Communicate tasks, recipes, weights and measures, and cleaning steps completed to other associates.
• Follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines.
• Follow all Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations.
• Follow Guest Experience Guidelines.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience need.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
