Job summary

SpartanNash in Howell, MI seeks a Meat Associate to prepare, package and stock meat products, supporting production plans and guest experience standards.

Work independently to meet production plans, rotate and date cases, and follow PPE, safety, and food safety guidelines while collaborating to drive store growth. Physical duties include lifting up to 50 lbs and standing long hours in varied temps.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Detail oriented and able to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and Produce Meat Products to Production Planner.
• Package and Label Meat Products per program plan.
• Merchandise Meat Products per Flight plan/Merchandising Expectations.
• Stock Backroom with Meat Products – Rotating and Dating Cases/Buckets.
• Notify the Meat Manager if products and supplies need to be ordered.
• Work as a team with other departments and Stores to achieve growth in SpartanNash Retail stores.
• Understand basic functions of adding, subtracting, multiplying and division.
• Communicate tasks, recipes, weights and measures, and cleaning steps completed to other associates.
• Follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines.
• Follow all Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations.
• Follow Guest Experience Guidelines.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience need.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed
