Job summary

VG's Grocery in Michigan is seeking a part-time meat department associate to prepare, package, label, and stock meat products while ensuring safety and guest experience standards. You will collaborate with store teams to support growth across SpartanNash Retail stores and adhere to PPE, food safety, and cleanliness guidelines.

The role requires basic math, ability to read and interpret documents, and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (GED) preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Detail oriented and accurate in handling products and data.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and Produce Meat Products to Production Planner.
• Package and Label Meat Products per program plan.
• Merchandise Meat Products per Flight plan/Merchandising Expectations.
• Stock Backroom with Meat Products – Rotating and Dating Cases/Buckets.
• Notify the Meat Manager if products and supplies need to be ordered.
• Work as a team with other departments and Stores to achieve growth in SpartanNash Retail stores.
• Follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines.
• Follow all Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations.
• Follow Guest Experience Guidelines.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience need.
