Job summary

SpartanNash Florence, KY is seeking a part-time Meat Cutter to join the team. You will cut and weigh meats, prepare value-added products, and ensure accurate portioning and presentation.

The role requires following recipes, maintaining quality, and helping with stocking and merchandising in a fast-paced store environment. Key duties include trimming and boning as needed, following safety and PPE guidelines, and supporting guest experience through accurate product handling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year retail or related experience preferred; prior meat cutter experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend and follow recipes and orders.

Responsibilities

• Cut and weigh steaks, chops, and other meats for individual portions.
• Prepare value-added products per guidelines and trim meat as required.
• Process carcasses to desired cuts, grind and tray meats, and make sausage as needed.
• Price, date, wrap and bag meat products following guidelines and inventory procedures.
• Maintain shelves, displays, and temperature-controlled areas in a clean, organized manner.
• Assist with stocking, ordering, and basic merchandising while ensuring safety standards.
