Job summary

Burlington is seeking a part-time Shortage Control Associate to safeguard the store, greet customers warmly, and support loss prevention programs. You will monitor entrances and high-risk areas, create a secure shopping environment, and partner with leadership to report theft incidents.

This role emphasizes strong communication, vigilance, and adherence to dress standards. The position offers flexible hours, opportunities to train on shortage reduction programs, and benefits for part-time staff

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and to visually monitor store environment.
• Excellent communication with customers and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer entering or exiting the store with a warm smile and a loud, friendly greeting.
• Monitor entrances/exits and high-risk areas to reduce theft opportunities and maintain safety standards.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
