Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time teacher to share Bible-based lessons with both churched and unchurched public school students. The role emphasizes a strong Church alignment, active faith involvement, and excellent communication with students and staff.

The teacher will complete certification within 30 days, participate in annual summits, and maintain engaging, relational classrooms while adhering to LifeWise policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience in a school or church setting.
• Mature Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Complete LifeWise Teacher Certification within 30 days before teaching.
• Attend LifeWise Summit annually and participate in Teachers' Lounge or Meet-Ups.
• Stay updated on training via LifeWise email and communications.
• Teach LifeWise classes using the curriculum and map curriculum customization.
• Invest in relationships, pray for students, and maintain an orderly, redemptive classroom.
• Apply LifeWise policies and resources and maintain class records for attendance.
• Keep rosters accurate, note health issues and parent permissions, assist substitutes.
• Maintain a clean, safe classroom and be prepared with supplies as needed.
• Act as LifeWise ambassador in the community and in school events.
• Maintain dialogue with school staff, build volunteer relationships, and share updates.
