Job summary

Pima County's Sam Lena-South Tucson Library is hiring a part-time Library Technical Assistant. You will assist public patrons, support library technology, and help run daily operations in a community-focused setting.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, tech assistance, and the ability to work with diverse patrons. Bilingual English/Spanish is highly valued, and prior ILS experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in library setting is preferred.
• Customer service experience is required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred (speaking, reading, writing).
• Experience with library technology and devices is required.
• Experience using an ILS system (Sierra, Polaris, SirsiDynix, Millennium, Alma, Symphony, Horizon, Carl, Apollo).
• Cash handling or money transactions experience is desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to the public and assist with library technology.
• Assist patrons with library resources, digital downloads and self-service tools.
• Troubleshoot library computers with IT support as needed.
• Check items in/out, issue library cards, and manage fines and deposits.
• Support daily library operations and uphold DEI initiatives.
