Job summary

Pima County Public Library is seeking a Librarian I to provide direct customer service and guide patrons in resources, technology, and collections. You will help create engaging programs for adults and may lead the building in charge rotations, including evenings and weekends.

Spanish-speaking abilities are strongly desired. Travel between locations may be required during the workday within a reasonable timeframe as part of duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 3 years of library or customer service experience.
• Spanish speaking skills strongly desired; bilingual abilities preferred.
• Experience with library technology, catalogs, eBooks, and community outreach is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Oversees assigned library service area and coordinates services for the public.
• Serves as supervisor in charge when assigned.
• Assists patrons with library resources and technology use.
