Job summary

The Des Plaines Public Library is seeking a service-oriented individual who loves reading fiction and talking about books, music, films and games. You will help a diverse patron base, from teens to seniors, learn to download materials and stream media on their devices.

Schedule includes Tue 9-6, Fri 12-9, and every other Saturday 8:30-5. A Bachelor’s degree (or two years college with library experience), a valid driver’s license, and availability evenings/weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or two years college with library or bookstore experience.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Available to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist patrons with fiction, film, games, and music collections.
• Teach patrons how to download materials and stream media on devices.
