Columbus Metropolitan Library Reynoldsburg Branch seeks a part-time Customer Services Specialist to deliver friendly, efficient service to patrons and guide them to the right resources. The role emphasizes problem resolution, card accounts, and technology assistance.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to express self effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of Internet and database services.
• Ability to operate library technology including PC, email, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to use reliable transportation to report to assignments.

Responsibilities

• Processes and sorts materials accurately and efficiently, including returns and reservations.
• Greet customers, answer basic reference questions, locate materials, and assist with library technology.
• Assist customers with library card accounts, payments, and enforcing account rules.
• Balance cash drawers, prepare deposits, and complete related reports.
• Resolve customer disputes by interviewing and negotiating where needed.
• Open/close procedures and maintain location supplies and signage.
• Maintain the library collection and assist with withdrawing or donating materials.
• Provide training on library technology to customers and staff.
