Columbus Metropolitan Library is seeking a Customer Services Specialist at the South High Branch to be the primary contact for customers, determine needs, analyze and resolve problems, and direct patrons to staff and resources to ensure a positive experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D required.
• Effective communication, both oral and written.
• Familiarity with internet and database services.
• Ability to operate library technology and office software.
• Reliable transportation to report to assignments.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with materials and directions.
• Assist with library card accounts and payments, enforcing rules.
• Process materials, returns, holds, and deposits.
• Balance cash drawers and prepare deposits.
• Provide technology assistance to customers and staff.
• Coordinate volunteers and support location operations.
