Bartow County Library System is seeking a part-time Branch Services Assistant to assist patrons at the Circulation desk and help them use online resources. The role may involve programs and outreach services in the community, requires 17 hours per week with some nights and weekends, and offers flexibility to work at all locations as needed.

The position emphasizes strong customer service, the ability to handle fines, registrations, and library cards, and the need to adapt to multiple locations.

Competenze

• Undergraduate degree or high school diploma with college coursework or vocational training in library science or customer service.
• Previous library experience preferred.
• Familiarity with computers, library automation systems, and the Internet.
• Bilingual is a plus.

Mansioni

• Charges and discharges library materials, collects fines, registers new patrons, issues library cards, and conducts voter registration requirements.
• Provides customer service to all ages at the circulation desk and answers questions.
• Responds to information requests or refers inquiries to a librarian; handles overdue notices and other circulation procedures.
• Maintains periodical collection and prepares material for collection swaps; conducts interbranch courier services.
