Job summary

Tarrant County College Southeast Campus is seeking a part-time Specialist, Library to support circulation and materials management in the campus library. The role requires delivering courteous service to students and staff while maintaining accurate records and assisting with inquiries.

The position features evening hours, a maximum of 19.5 hours per week, and a schedule that can change with departmental needs; candidate must be able to work Monday through Wednesday and certain Thursday shifts.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 60 college hours completed and one year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Preferred: one year of frontline customer service at a college/university.

Responsibilities

• Performs moderately complex library work.
• Provides circulation services including organization of library materials.
• Maintains circulation records and prepares reports.
• Organizes reserve items.
• Answers moderately complex questions and refers to librarian when appropriate.
• Locates materials including databases and electronic resources for students and faculty.
• Provides check in and checkout services and shelving of materials.
• Uses automated circulation system effectively.
• Maintains knowledge of library services, policies and practices; complies with laws and procedures.
• Communicates library services to students, faculty and staff.
