Job summary

Powder Springs Library is seeking a part-time Library Assistant II to deliver strong customer service at the circulation and reference desks, assist with youth programs, crafts, displays, and outreach, and help with processing and shelving materials. The role includes evenings and weekends as scheduled.

The position involves assisting patrons with accounts, digital resources, and computers, plus general library operations and outreach activities within the Ford Center Campus in Powder Springs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus one year of customer service experience or equivalent.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
• Experience with youth programs, crafts, displays, and outreach is preferred.
• Strong collaboration, reliability, punctuality, and self-motivation.

Responsibilities

• Assist patrons at circulation and reference desks with accounts and digital resources.
• Process and shelve library materials; assist with inventory and displays.
• Support Youth Services Librarian with youth programs, crafts, and outreach.
• Provide computer and reference help; train patrons on systems and resources.
