Job summary

Cardinal Group is seeking a Leasing Community Intern (Temporary, Non-Exempt) to deliver high-quality customer service to residents and support leasing activities to maintain occupancy. You will work at the community front desk, participate in Cardinal Way of Leasing training, and assist with tours, applications, and events.

The role requires approximately 20 hours per week, evenings and weekends, with on-call duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be enrolled in a degree program at an accredited college or university (minimum 6 credits).
• Must have completed at least one year at the enrolled college/university.
• Maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA; annual verification.
• Must be a current or future leaseholder of the community.
• Must live on the designated community floor as assigned by the Community Manager.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Available to be scheduled for ~20 hours per week.
• Available evenings and weekends.
• Demonstrate Cardinal Culture and Core Values daily.

Responsibilities

• Be an ambassador for customer service and ensure resident satisfaction.
• Administrative front desk tasks and duties.
• Participate in Cardinal Way of Leasing (CWoL) training.
• Greet prospective clients, answer leasing calls, determine needs, and present community and apartments.
• Utilize feature/benefit selling and close the lease.
• Complete all lease applications and paperwork; maintain lease file documentation.
• Pass third party leasing shops and become Cardinal Way of Leasing certified.
• Maintain cleanliness of the tour path and professional attitude toward residents, staff, and vendors.
• Assist with planning community events and other community projects.
• Participate in Cardinal U training; handle on-call responsibilities; work evenings/weekends.
