Job summary

Cardinal Group Companies is seeking a Leasing Community Intern (Temporary, Non-Exempt) in Cullowhee, NC. The role focuses on delivering high-quality customer service to residents while driving occupancy through leasing and pre-leasing efforts.

You will complete lease applications, participate in Cardinal Way of Leasing, and support front-desk operations. The position requires a 20-hour weekly schedule, evenings and weekends, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be enrolled in a degree program with a minimum of 6 credit hours.
• Must have completed a minimum of one year at the enrolled college.
• Maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA; GPA verified annually.
• Must be a current or future leaseholder of the community.
• Live on designated community floor as assigned.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Available to work ~20 hours per week; evenings and weekends.
• Able to embody Cardinal Culture and Core Values.

Responsibilities

• Be an ambassador for customer service; exceed expectations for Cardinal customers.
• Perform Administrative Front Desk tasks.
• Participate in Cardinal Way of Leasing (CWoL) training.
• Greet prospective clients and answer leasing calls.
• Present community and apartment homes professionally; use feature/benefit selling.
• Process lease applications and lease file paperwork.
• Pass Cardinal Way of Leasing certification and complete file audits.
• Maintain clean tour path and professional demeanor with residents and vendors.
• Assist with community events and other projects as needed.
• Attend Cardinal U training and be available for on-call duties.
