Job summary

Rocky Mountain Protective Service Inc. is seeking an IT Support Technician to provide onsite technical support while coordinating with a remote IT team to resolve issues. The role covers Windows/Microsoft 365, printers, and basic networking, with an emphasis on security and proper ticketing.

The schedule is about 20 hours per week, preferably Monday–Friday 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. Mountain Time. Candidates must pass background screening and CJIS-related requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in desktop support, help desk or onsite IT support.
• Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365 and basic networking.
• Strong troubleshooting and customer-service skills.
• Ability to work independently and communicate with a remote support team.
• Reliable transportation and consistent onsite availability.
• Ability to complete required background screening, fingerprinting, CJIS training and Police Department access requirements.
• CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft certifications or relevant recent training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot Windows computers, Microsoft 365 applications, printers and peripherals.
• Assist employees with account access, email and connectivity issues.
• Set up and maintain computers and related equipment.
• Perform basic network troubleshooting.
• Coordinate technical escalations with the remote IT team.
• Maintain accurate support tickets and equipment records.
• Follow security, confidentiality and site-access procedures.
