Job summary

Mount Prospect Public Library is seeking a part-time IT Assistant to join the IT Department. You will handle staff and patron help desk tasks, resolve software and hardware issues, and assist with printing and basic technology navigation.

Responsibilities include on-call computer support, installation and maintenance of equipment, and collaboration with the Computer Services Supervisor in daily IT operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required with at least 1 year of computer maintenance experience.
• College/technical training in computer science is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to help desk tickets and phone inquiries.
• Provide desktop support to staff.
• Troubleshoot software and hardware issues.
• Assist staff and patrons with printing, document formatting, and basic technology navigation.
• On-call duties in the IT department.
• Assist with installation, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs of computers and peripherals.
