St. Louis Public Library is seeking a part-time Information Specialist to assist customers with reference questions, readers’ advisory, and circulation desk tasks. The role includes providing technology assistance and recording statistics for monthly reports.

Qualifications

• At least six months of customer service-related experience or an associate’s degree or equivalent.
• Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to learn and use technology as the Library continues to evolve.

Responsibilities

• Assist with reference and readers’ advisory questions for customers via face-to-face and telephone interactions.
• Work at the Circulation Desk as needed, providing circulation services to customers.
• Provide technology assistance to customers, as needed.
• Record department statistics for monthly reports.
• Assist with emptying book drops, handling returns, and processing daily delivery.
• Other duties as assigned.
