Job summary

Penn State Great Valley's ITS Help Desk is seeking part-time User Support Specialists who are resourceful problem solvers and enjoy helping staff, faculty, students, and external clients. Hours are 10-24 per week, Monday through Thursday, with some Saturdays, on-site at the Great Valley Campus in Malvern, PA.

As a Help Desk Specialist, you will answer questions over the phone and assist walk-ins, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and support AV for conferencing events.

Qualifications

• Experience providing user support to staff, faculty, students, and external clients.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to quickly learn new applications and tools.
• Willingness to work 10-24 hours per week, on-site at Malvern, PA.

Responsibilities

• Answer questions over the phone and assist walk-ins at the Help Desk.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on PCs and Macs.
• Provide support for AV during conferencing events.
• Collaborate with ITS colleagues to diagnose and resolve technical problems.
