Job summary

Houston Community College is seeking a part-time Hardware/Software Technician for the Southwest College Staff Pool in Houston, TX. You will install, repair, and maintain PC hardware and software, assisting users and supporting campus technology services.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or related certification required.
• Two years related work experience may substitute for degree.
• One year of recent hard/software technical support experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify, troubleshoot and repair personal computer hardware and software.
• Perform routine maintenance to ensure good operating conditions.
• Communicate with users to detect possible problems.
• Assist in evaluating new equipment to be supported by the Technical Support area.
• Maintain inventory to ensure maintenance and repair of computers.
