Qualifications

• High school degree or GED.
• 2+ years in general office, electronic and/or AV equipment setup and maintenance; 3 years preferred.
• Ability to organize, test, and set up electronic parts and computer hardware supplies.
• Familiarity with computer hardware setup, software configuration, and testing of AV equipment.
• Proficiency in Word processing, spreadsheets and web page applications.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Proficiency in basic setup of various equipment (electronic, AV, computers).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and instructional support and training to instructors on equipment, software, and web pages.
• Create and maintain instructor learning web pages.
• Support lab operations by duplicating materials, answering calls, and screening visitors.
• Organize, maintain, and distribute inventory of parts and supplies.
• Maintain and upgrade lab equipment; recommend updates to hardware and software.
• Order parts for equipment repairs and upgrades.
• Install computer, AV, or electronic equipment as required by instructors.
• Process videotape distribution and returns as needed.
• Report unsafe conditions to the Department Chair.
