Job summary

The Ventura County Community College District is accepting applications on an on-going basis for part-time instructors in this discipline at Oxnard, Moorpark, and Ventura. Instructors (Non-Contract/Temporary) provide comprehensive classroom instruction to diverse student populations and may be employed up to 67% of a full-time assignment.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications per CCC minimum: Master’s in relevant discipline OR Bachelor’s plus Master’s in related field or credentials.
• All coursework must be from an accredited college or university.
• Equivalency considerations may apply; discuss via Supplemental Questionnaire.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic instruction to students through lectures, labs, or performance courses.
• Advise students on programs of study and available resources.
• Observe and evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback.
• Plan and organize instruction aligned with course outlines and learning outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records of enrollment, attendance, and progress.
• Update syllabi and course materials to reflect current theory and practice.
• May participate in curriculum development and institutional committees.
