Job summary

Ventura County Community College District seeks part-time instructors to join a pool serving Oxnard, Moorpark, and Ventura Colleges. Applications may be considered for Fall 2026, Spring 2027, and Summer 2027 if vacancies arise. Training and guidance will be provided through the district’s department.

Instructors will deliver lectures, labs, or performances, evaluate student outcomes, and participate in curriculum and program development as needed. The pool remains open for ongoing consideration.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in speech, speech broadcasting, telecommunications, rhetoric, communication, communication studies, speech communication, or organizational communication (or equivalent)
• Bachelor’s in any listed field and Master’s in drama/theatre arts, mass communication, or English, or equivalent
• Possession of an appropriate California Community College Credential

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive classroom instruction to diverse students.
• Assess student progress and provide timely feedback.
• Plan instruction aligned with course outlines and student learning outcomes.
• Advise students on programs of study and available resources.
• Maintain accurate records of enrollment, attendance, and progress.
