Job summary

Instructors (Non-Contract/Temporary) provide comprehensive classroom instruction to diverse students and may be employed up to 67% of a full-time assignment under Education Code provisions.

Qualifications

• MinimumQualifications for Faculty per CCC handbook; degree or equivalent as listed.
• ADEQUATE educational credentials and citations required; see foreign transcripts section for details.
• All coursework must be from a recognized accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom instruction via lectures, labs, or performances.
• Advise students on programs of study and transfer options; refer to support services as needed.
• Observe and evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback.
• Plan instruction aligned with course outlines and SLOs; ensure adherence to department goals.
• Maintain accurate records of enrollment, attendance, and progress; generate reports as required.
• Select instructional materials in collaboration with discipline faculty and bookstore procedures.
• Update course content in line with new theory and developments; revise syllabi as needed.
• Attend meetings and participate in curriculum and program development activities.
• May contribute to articulation, matriculation, and other college-wide activities.
• May supervise or direct other staff as needed.
