Job summary

The Ventura County Community College District is accepting applications on an on-going basis for future consideration for part-time instructors in this discipline at Oxnard, Moorpark, and Ventura colleges. Applications submitted to this pool will be kept on file for the Summer 2026, Fall 2026, and/or Spring 2027 semesters and may be considered if a vacancy becomes available within the academic year.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications per CCC Board of Governors, or equivalency.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic instruction through lecture, lab, or performance courses to diverse students.
• Advise and instruct students on programs of study and resources, and refer to support services.
• Observe and evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback.
• Plan and organize instruction per approved outlines and student learning outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records of enrollment, progress, and outcomes; submit data timely.
• Evaluate and select instructional materials with discipline faculty; order materials as needed.
• Revise and update course content in line with theory and industry developments.
• Update syllabi; collaborate to assess and revise measurable outcomes.
• Participate in curriculum and program development; input into learning outcomes.
• Attend committees and department, campus, and district meetings.
• May provide work direction to others.
