Ventura County Community College District invites applications for an ongoing pool of part-time instructors for Oxnard, Moorpark, and Ventura campuses. Selections may occur for Summer 2026, Fall 2026, or Spring 2027 as vacancies arise.

Applicants from previous pools must reapply to be considered. Under the general direction of a dean, instructors provide classroom instruction across various settings and may teach up to 67% of a full-time load.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications for the discipline as approved by CCC Board of Governors.
• Equivalency may be considered via Supplemental Questionnaire.
• Transcripts must show degree title and conferral date or be accompanied by an official evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom instruction in lecture, lab, or performance courses.
• Assess and develop cognitive abilities and higher order thinking in students.
• Advise students on programs of study and resources; refer to support services as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of enrollment, attendance, and student progress.
• Update course content in line with new theory and industry developments.
