Qualifications

• Master’s in English or related field or equivalent.
• All coursework from a recognized accredited college/university.
• Teaching Credential or equivalent (as indicated).
• Candidate must meet the minimum qualifications per CCC Board of Governors handbook.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive classroom instruction to diverse students in lecture, lab, or performance settings.
• Advise students on programs of study and resources; refer to support services.
• Plan and organize instruction to align with course outlines and outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records of enrollment, progress, and outcomes; submit reports timely.
• Evaluate and select instructional materials; revise content with new developments.
• Participate in curriculum and program development and committees.

Education

Master’s in English, literature, comparative literature, or composition; or Bachelor’s in any of the above with Master’s in linguistics, TESL, speech, education with specialization in reading, creative writing or journalism; or equivalent
