Job summary

Shredfast, Inc. is seeking a Part‑Time Human Resources Generalist to support our hardworking team in Airway Heights, WA. This hands‑on role manages the full employee lifecycle, ensures compliance, and helps cultivate a positive workplace culture.

The position offers a 30‑hour week, non‑exempt status, and a flexible schedule Mon–Thu. You’ll work closely with leadership to drive operational HR initiatives and employee engagement in a production environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of HR experience.
• Experience with payroll systems (Paylocity preferred).
• Strong knowledge of benefits, compensation, and compliance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and Google Docs.
• Experience creating internal communications and materials (Canva or similar).
• Knowledge of safety practices and PPE compliance.
• Highly organized with deadline focus.
• Strong communication, professional judgment, and accountability.
• Detail-oriented, thorough in execution, and collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update employee policies, handbook, and internal communications.
• Clearly communicate company policies and procedures to staff.
• Manage recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
• Conduct exit interviews and support employee transitions.
• Assist biweekly payroll in Paylocity, including timecard and PTO review.
• Oversee benefits administration, including 401(k) coordination and enrollments.
• Handle compliance items: FMLA/PFMLA, L&I claims, OSHA reporting, COBRA, garnishments.
• Support performance management and employee reviews.
• Partner with leadership on disciplinary actions, including terminations.
• Coordinate safety programs, trainings, and staff development.
