Job summary

Southern Arkansas University is seeking a part-time HR Generalist to manage the full employee lifecycle including benefits, payroll, compliance, and recruiting through offboarding. The role is primarily on-site in Provincetown with occasional remote opportunities.

Responsibilities include benefits administration, open enrollment, payroll processing, recordkeeping, hiring support, training coordination, and ensuring state/federal compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor degree in HR or related field.
• 3+ years in HR, payroll, and benefits administration.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel), Google Workspace, and Adobe; BambooHR experience a plus.
• Valid US driver’s license or reliable transportation; US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Benefits Administration: manage benefit programs and annual open enrollment; liaise with brokers and accounting.
• Payroll: process payroll, PTO, deductions, and tax withholdings; maintain payroll systems.
• Data Management: maintain records, audit I-9s, support hiring, and ensure compliance.
• HR Development: keep compliance training current; coordinate training programs; foster a positive environment.
