Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in human resources, payroll administration, or a similar role.
• Working knowledge of payroll and basic HR practices.
• Experience with employee benefits administration preferred.
• Strong organizational and follow-through skills.
• High level of discretion and confidentiality.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
• Ability to identify when an HR issue should be escalated to management or an outside professional.
• Experience supporting a small or mid-sized organization preferred.

Responsibilities

• Payroll Administration: manage and coordinate the company’s regular payroll process and records.
• Employee Onboarding & Off-Boards: coordinate onboarding and separations and ensure required documentation.
• Benefits Administration: serve as the primary contact for benefits programs and enrollments.
• Employee Records & HR Administration: maintain complete personnel records and confidentiality.
• Policies & Compliance: assist with HR policies, notices, and compliance records.
• Employee & Manager Support: serve as first point of contact for HR questions and guide managers on policies.
• Recruiting Support: assist with job postings, interviewing, and pre-employment steps.
