Pivotal Talent Search Inc. is seeking a part-time Human Resources & Payroll Coordinator to support payroll processing, onboarding, benefits and HR administration for a small to mid-sized organization in the Springfield area.

This remote role requires living within a commutable distance to Ozark, MO, with a set schedule of 15 to 20 hours per week and the ability to work independently while maintaining HR confidentiality and accuracy.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in human resources, payroll administration, or a similar role.
• Working knowledge of payroll and basic HR practices.
• Experience with employee benefits administration preferred.
• Strong organizational and follow-through skills.
• High level of discretion and confidentiality.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
• Ability to identify when an HR issue should be escalated to management or an outside professional.
• Experience supporting a small or mid-sized organization preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the company's regular payroll process.
• Maintain employee payroll information, including new hires, terminations, compensation changes, deductions, and other employee changes.
• Review payroll information for completeness and accuracy prior to processing.
• Coordinate with managers regarding timekeeping, PTO, commissions, bonuses, and other payroll-related information.
• Maintain appropriate payroll records and documentation.
• Respond to employee payroll questions.
• Coordinate with the Accounting team to ensure payroll information is accurately recorded and reconciled in the financial system.
• Support year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing and other required payroll reporting.
