SIMEDHealth in Ocala, FL is seeking a part-time Telephone Operator to be the welcoming first face for patients, handling calls, directing them, and supporting clinic operations with a friendly, professional demeanor.

Responsibilities include answering calls, verifying patient information, scheduling appointments, processing basic patient data in the EMR, and coordinating with the new patient coordinator. Strong communication and a commitment to service are essential.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent (Required).
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Word and Outlook (Required).
• Experience using electronic medical records.
• Clear and professional speaking voice.
• Commitment to outstanding customer service with strong communication.

Responsabilidades

• Answer incoming calls and direct patient calls to appropriate extension using multi-line phone system.
• Answer patient inquiries regarding general questions (directions, hours, etc.).
• Verify patient information, update as needed and document health information electronically into the chart.
• Type detailed notes and maintain accurate records.
• Schedule appointments, verify insurance and operate electronic fax server.
• Read and interpret Hospital Call Schedules and review provider availability.
• Familiar with hospital consults and transitional care calls.
• Direct new patient calls to the new patient coordinator.
• Retrieve voicemail messages and return calls; observe HIPAA policies.
• Provide basic information about SIMEDHealth providers and services.
• Must be able to stay seated for long periods.
