The role emphasizes leadership, scheduling, and teamwork to maintain smooth operations, assist cashiers and baggers, and ensure a welcoming shopping experience for every guest.

Responsibilities

• Provide Helpful Service: Deliver friendly, professional guest service and assist guests as needed.
• Lead by Example: Uphold guest service standards and guide associates across departments.
• Utilize Leadership Tools: Use evaluation tools, reminder cards, binders and manuals.
• Oversee Operations: Ensure smooth guest service flow and maintain cleanliness and functionality.
• Support: Direct guests, manage checkout lines, and provide timely overrides or assistance.
• Monitor & Adjust: Manage staff schedules and adapt to business needs while following labor laws.
• Maintain Staffing Levels: Ensure adequate coverage to meet demand with replacement planning.
• Enforce Labor Laws: Schedule minor employees within legal guidelines.
• Optimize Scheduling: Adjust daily rosters based on sales and traffic.
• Communicate with Shift Managers: Notify when extra help is needed or for handoffs.
• Manage Lane Flow: Open lanes as needed for busy periods and keep cash drawers ready.
• Track Attendance: Use shift reports to record lateness and absences.
• Cart Management: Ensure enough carts and manage collection efficiently.
• Honor Commitments: Maintain regular attendance and provide advance notice for absences.
• Support the Team: Perform other duties as assigned.
