Job summary

SpartanNash is hiring a Front End Associate in Blair, Nebraska. You will operate the cash register and scanner to itemize purchases, accept various payment types, and assist customers with a courteous checkout experience.

Responsibilities include cash handling, bagging, promoting store programs, and keeping the front-end area clean and stocked. This is a part-time role within the company’s People First culture and Equal Opportunity ethos.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Basic arithmetic, reading and writing skills required.
• Ability to operate a cash register and scanner with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash register and electronic scanner to itemize customer purchases.
• Process cash, checks, credit cards, SNAP/WIC, loyalty cards, and coupons accurately.
• Weigh and bag customer purchases and maintain a clean front-end area.
• Communicate store programs and promotions to customers while delivering friendly service.
