Job summary

SpartanNash in Litchfield, Minnesota is hiring a part-time Cashier to operate the cash register, scan items, and assist in bagging purchases while delivering courteous customer service.

You will process cash, checks, and card payments, apply loyalty discounts and coupons, maintain a clean checkout area, and quickly respond to customer needs following company policies and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Good verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash register and electronic scanner to itemize customer purchases; handle payments accurately.
• Bag purchases and maintain courteous customer service.
• Apply loyalty programs, discounts and coupons as applicable.
• Keep front-end area clean, stocked and organized.
• Follow safety, PPE and store policies at all times.
