Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a front-end cashier in West Fargo, ND to operate the cash register and scanner, total purchases, receive payments, and assist in bagging. You’ll interact courteously with customers while following store policies.

Responsibilities include processing cash, card, and coupons; maintaining a clean checkout area; and promoting loyalty programs and in-store specials to ensure a positive guest experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of prior retail or related experience preferred.
• Good verbal communication skills; ability to interact politely and effectively with customers.
• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash register and electronic scanner to itemize customer purchases; handle a variety of products.
• Process financial transactions including cash, checks, credit cards, and coupons accurately.
• Weigh and bag customer purchases and maintain checkout area.
• Communicate store programs, in-store specials and coupons to customers; model high standards of service.
