SpartanNash is hiring a friendly Cashier at our Omaha store location to operate the cash register and scanner, itemize purchases, receive payment, and assist in bagging with courteous service.

The role handles various payment types (cash, card, food stamps, WIC, loyalty), processes coupons, maintains a clean check-stand, and supports merchandising duties while upholding safety and sanitation standards. Prior retail experience and a HS diploma preferred.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Good verbal communication skills; ability to interact politely and effectively with customers.
• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.

Responsabilidades

• Operate cash register and electronic scanner to itemize customer purchases; handle a variety of products and tax-free and taxed items.
• Process financial transactions including cash, checks, credit cards, food stamps, WIC, loyalty cards, gift certificates, rain checks, voids, and coupons accurately.
• Weigh and bag customer purchases; maintain front-end duties such as merchandising check-stand.
• Ensure proper PLU usage, report pricing or signage errors, and communicate store programs and promotions to customers.
