Job summary

Houston Grand Hotel - River Oaks is seeking a part-time server to provide guests with friendly, efficient service in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

You will greet guests, input orders into the POS, deliver meals and beverages, and help ensure guest satisfaction while adhering to health and safety standards. A professional appearance and team spirit are essential in this role at our Houston on-site location.

Qualifications

• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
• Team player willing to pitch in and assist coworkers.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service and etiquette.
• Ability to upsell desserts and specialty coffees.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, explain specials and promotions.
• Record and repeat orders for accuracy.
• Enter orders into POS and assist kitchen as needed.
• Deliver orders to tables, refill beverages, and check guest satisfaction.
• Operate POS for pre-checks and closing checks.
• Abide by state and corporate requirements for serving alcoholic beverages.
