Job summary

The St. Charles Park District is seeking a part-time Front Desk Associate for the Sportsplex area to greet visitors, answer inquiries, and process registrations.

You will support program registration, collect fees, issue receipts, and help with refunds while maintaining a friendly and safe service environment. Under supervision, you will manage phones, provide information, and ensure the lobby and service desk are organized.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old and have a high school diploma or be in the process of obtaining one.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills are required.
• Maintain First Aid/CPR/AED certification or obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Maintain DCFS mandated reporter certification or obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Preferred: experience in reception and customer service; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephones and greet customers, providing information and assistance to staff and the public.
• Process registrations, collect fees, issue receipts, and initiate refunds for programs, activities, and rentals.
• Notify participants of changes or cancellations to classes or events.
• Operate office equipment (copier, fax, phone, postage meter, computer, printer) as needed.
• Keep the service desk and lobby clean and organized; manage mail tasks and safety procedures.
