Job summary

The St. Charles Park District is seeking an Entry Level Part-Time Front Desk/Facility Associate at Haines Gymnasium in St. Charles, IL.

You will greet the public, provide information, process payments and assist with open gym preparations while adhering to safety policies. Benefits include paid training and program discounts for part-time Category III employees, with a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Requires minimum of 16 years old.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills are a must.
• Knowledge of greeting the public courteously, obtaining information and giving accurate information.
• Maintain First Aid/CPR/AED certification or obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
• Maintain DCFS mandated reporter certificate or obtain certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Follow all departmental safety rules and support Park District’s safety and risk management program.
• Work cooperatively with residents, colleagues, the public, and other agencies as delegated.
• Assist in supervising all scheduled activities.
• Prepare courts/fields for open gym.
• Supervise large groups.
• Monitor and request supplies as needed.
• Perform First Aid as necessary and complete accident reports.
• Resolve problems with participants.
• Collect fees and issue receipts.
• Open and close the facility.
